So today I decided to make some free social media icons, and now you can use them for your own web projects! No attribution required (but some recognition would be nice, at least a “thank you” in the comments, and they may not be redistributed or sold). You can download the icons here. They’re nice and neutral (dark gray circles and white) and fit in with plenty of designs. I’ve saved them out in PNG in 32px, and 128px sizes. I also included the SVG vector source as well as a PDF vector in case you want to edit them or add color or save the icons in custom resolutions or whatever.
(I would like to note that when I originally posted the icon set, it contained a fraction of the icons as they do now. So if you want an icon that’s missing from the list, ask!)

Thanks for your comment Jen! Now, I’m not sure what you mean. I didn’t have an SVG of the original Instagram icon on hand; I had to draw my monochromatic icon by hand, but that (my) version is already included in the included SVG source file.

These are great! I tried to open the .svg file in Illustrator, but it wouldn’t open the file. I’ve opened SVG files in AI before, but this one gives me an error. A PDF or EPS would be nice
Odd. What version of AI are you using? It opens fine in CS5 for me, just with a clipping message. You can always use Inkscape (free) to open SVG files, that’s what I used to make this. When I tried to use AI to export it to PDF, it refused to do the icon for LinkedIn because it recognized the text was of a copyrighted font, so I’ll have to deal with this later and maybe get a PDF or AI or EPS up there.Oh, I figured out the problem. I had the icon for Google as text not as path. I’ll fix it on the next round (so SVGs should work fine in Adobe Illustrator in the future) and email you a (fixed) PDF meantime.
